Progressive Jackpot

1 min read

Right now I’m considering creating a Server Module for Picture Slots that would distribute a Progressive Jackpot every hour.

It wouldn’t require any log in information and would not identify players it would simply distribute wins. The game would still be stand alone and participation in the Progressive Jackpot would be your choice.

How I see it working!

When you load up Picture Slots a check box, or some other method, can be turned on allowing you to participate in the Progressive Jackpot. 10% of all loses, that is each time you don’t win something 10% goes into the Jackpot and each hour (every hour 24 /7) a random player somewhere in the world is paid the entire accumulated amount.

Each participating player will be notified that ‘someone just won the progressive jackpot’ and the amount won will be displayed.

What are your thoughts? Answer the Poll Question on the right if you think it’s a good idea.

I have already started writing the Progressive Jackpot Server Module. Only a few minor changes to the original plan so far.

1) A random winner is picked at a random interval of either 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
2) Only the winner of the Jackpot is notified.
3) No indetifying information about the player is recordered.
4) If the winning player is offline when the win is paid another winner is picked.

I’ll put more updates into here as I think of them.
